Welcome Members, Friends, and Visitors!

First, let us invite you to visit us in person if you ever have the opportunity to visit Florida's Space Coast! Here on the web we have tried to include any resources and information you might find useful. Please let us know if we've missed anything!

Our Sunday Meetings

O

ur worship, like our Christian lives, follows a Biblical model consisting of congregational a capella singing, prayer, communion, and a lesson of encouragement for the week. We also include a special moment for greeting visitors and one another, an offering after the communion, an invitation to come forward and share any spiritual needs anyone might have, and of course, our regular announcements.

We offer a co-ed Bible class each Sunday morning as well as a Ladies' Bible class for the feminine perspective. Our instruction and doctrine is totally biblically based. Members here use various versions of the Bible. Our elders and our minister usually quote from the New International Version, but most research many versions in their preparation for teaching. At Oceanside, "Church of Christ" means that we are His and that our teaching is His. After the communion, we offer the opportunity for the younger children to be dismissed to a "Junior Worship" class tailored to their learning levels. Of course, parents may choose to keep the children with them.

Everyone please consider yourselves invited to our monthly pot-luck dinner immediately following services on the first Sunday of every month, except when special circumstances require that it be re-scheduled. Members, please bring a covered dish, an entree or your favorite dessert , and all your friends and neighbors. Visitors, bring your family, friends, neighbors, and an appetite! This is a special time to sit down over a nice meal, chat, get to know each other better or catch up on current events in each other's lives. It's especially dedicated to meeting our visitors, so please, don't rush off somewhere else to eat. Stay and let us get to know you.

Giving of Ourselves in Many Ways

A

t the Church of Christ Oceanside, we serve God, one another, our community, and the world in a variety of ways. This means that we have many specialized ministries as well as routine responsibilities for workers. You can be sure that your talents have an invitation to be used at Oceanside. No-one need be a mere spectator. Oceanside is a smaller, more personal congregation where you will always have something of your self to contribute.

Members at Oceanside are welcomed, even encouraged, to bring forth ideas for new ministries and new ways to serve. We have diligent servants already at work in such areas as Teens, Youth, Nursery, World Bible School, Education, Worship, Facilities, and much more. With your help, there will be even more we can serve!

In addition to our Sunday worship and Bible classes, we also have Wednesday evening Bible study. Like our Sunday morning classes, this is a teacher-led class based on a topical series of classes. Input from everyone is accepted and encouraged while the teacher helps us stay on topic and base our ideas on sound Biblical teaching. This is not just a theological time, it is an application of Bible teaching to our daily circumstances. Dialog is the teaching method that will nurture your spiritual growth the most. Our mid-week service is the perfect forum to help you grow.

Our congregation also participates in what is commonly referred to as "Small Groups". This is in even more warm and non-intimidating atmosphere for members and visitors alike to discuss Bible topics. We have one group which meets in Palm Bay and another that meets at the building in Satellite Beach. As the groups grow, they can spin off new groups to maintain the small size which promotes openness in each person who attends.

" ... just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word ...

(Eph. 5:25,26)
